Samuel Halpert counted cross stitch patterns
1884-1930. Samuel Halpert was a Russian-born American artist, painter and printmaker. Halpert studied in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. However, upon seeing the work of the Post-Impressionist, he left the academy to study independently and travel. Halpert painted numerous scenes of Paris, in a style reflecting the influence of Impressionist, Cezanne and the Fauves. © Wikipedia
